Balancing a 9-to-5 job in commercial banking while building my own little corner of the internet, Going For Grace, is not an easy task, but it is one that I am thrilled to take on each and every day! My day usually starts with behind-the-scenes computer work or an early morning photo shoot for Going For Grace before I head into my banking office for the day. On a perfect day, I would be able to tackle all that Going For Grace requires before work and during my lunch break so that when I get home, I can spend the rest of the night with my husband, Michael. I love being in the kitchen so I often make our week night dinners at home, but we also love spending an evening trying a new local spot or heading to one of our tried and true favorites. I am most definitely a night owl so I will catch up on tasks that didn't get done during the day, binge on a favorite show, get lost in a book, or get in a late night workout before calling it a day!

Where do you live? What do you love about it? Brag about the city you call home!
My husband and I call Knoxville, Tennessee home. Knoxville is quaint, hospitable, and the best city to have grown up around. My favorite thing about Knoxville is that it is continuously changing! It may change a bit slower than a bigger city, but it is so much fun to watch it expand year after year. More often than not, you can find us headed to our favorite restaurants (like J.C. Holdway or Adopo), taking a long walk through one of our gorgeous parks, or spending a Friday night in Market Square!

LAUREN’S SUMMER
What does summer look like to you? Is there something special about summertime in your city? Tell us about some of your favorite traditions!
You simply cannot beat a summer down South. Our summers are full of peaches, watermelon, and all of the homemade ice cream! I grew up on our family farm about 30 minutes outside of Knoxville. This is where all of my childhood memories were made, so it is always such a special time when we all get together on the farm for our annual Fourth of July cookout. You can imagine what this consists of…BBQ, Grandma's potato salad, banana pudding, the annual flag fruit pizza, watermelon, ice cream, and of course fireworks!

LAUREN’S STYLE
We love seeing how unique each woman’s style is to her personality. When you get dressed in the morning, what inspires the pieces you select and the outfits you create?
My style is completely inspired by what I feel the most confident in, which are pieces that make me feel feminine and timeless. My inspiration boards are filled with images of Grace Kelly and Kate Middleton so I like to jokingly classify my style as "southern royal next door," playing on the fact that I love the romance of southern style, the timeless aspect of royal style, and the sweetness of the girl next door!
