How Ruchi Works

Here’s the thing—Women. Are. Amazing. We’re innovative. We’re strategic. We’re purposeful. And we work. Hard. That’s why at Maggy London, we never get tired of supplying you with tips, tools, and style staples to help you along the way.

Introducing Expressions of Workwear: a month-long extravaganza celebrating the unique ways in which women work. What we do, where we go, who we meet, and what we wear. We’ve teamed up with some of the brightest, boldest, boss-est women we know to take a peek into their wardrobes and reveal the pieces that honor their individual personalities, styles, and lives.

Meet Ruchi

As a “financial therapist” and board chair of a national nonprofit, this mom-on-the-go has made it her mission to encourage confidence, comfort, and community in everything she does.

ALL ABOUT THE NUMBERS

I’m the founder of RP Business Advisors, where I work with creatively-minded business owners to help them love their numbers and find peace of mind around their finances. I was motivated by women who love their businesses—they’re creative and they love what they do—but they aren’t as confident with the finances.

I’m a partner to my clients—not just their bookkeeper or financial advisor. I put so much love into the work I do that a lot of my clients even call me their financial therapist. I want to help them see all of their possibilities.

“I want people to remember that I was here to help them see their possibilities and live their best lives, build their best businesses, through their numbers.”

PAYING IT FORWARD—WITH PAJAMAS!

I’m the board chair of a national nonprofit called Pajama Program, which is all about the warmth and comfort of a good bedtime routine. As a mom, when I put my son to bed at night, that’s when he’s able to open up to me and talk to me about the day and tell me what’s on his mind. Giving children a loving, comfortable bedtime routine encourages a great night’s sleep (and of course, a great tomorrow!).

THE PERFECT START TO ANY DAY

My typical day starts with my son. We get breakfast ready, we get him dressed in his little uniform, and I walk him over to school. I love that time in the morning with him. We love to connect and just talk. That’s the most special part of my day.

“I found a need, you know? I listened to what I was hearing.”

A BUSY LIFE, FUELED BY FASHION

I’m running around the city all day—to my office, to a networking lunch, to an event—so I have to feel comfortable and confident in what I’m wearing. It’s my job to help women find their own power and charge what they’re worth, so clothing that makes me feel able to motivate my clients is really important.
